SST Cyber Wellness Student Ambassador Programme (CWSAP)
The Cyber Wellness Student Ambassador Programme (CWSAP) is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education, Singapore (MOE) and the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) under the auspices of the Inter-Ministry Cyber Wellness Steering Committee (ICSC).
The programme is focused on building the capacity of CWSAs to engage the student community on cyber wellness (CW) education in their schools. The key component of the Conference is to guide CWSAs to carry out internal scan of cyber wellness needs so that they can draw up an action plan for their school Cyber Wellness programme. Each year, the theme anchored on one of the topics in the MOE Cyber Wellness curriculum which the CWSAs were guided to explore and internalise to greater depth during the conference and workshop.
Over the three years, 158 primary schools took part in the conference, with more than 70% of the schools participating at least 2 years (see Annex 1).
SST hopes to continue to run this programme to the build capacity of the CWSAs through the support of the West Zone. We believe that it is crucial for primary school students to be equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes related to cyber wellness in this digital age, in line with our national education objectives.
Workshop Objectives:
- To engage CWSAs in peer advocacy through discussions and implementation of cyber wellness activities
- To equip CWSAs with facilitation skills and questioning techniques that enable them to engage their fellow school mates (participants)
- To guide CWSAs to design cyber wellness activities that leverage ICT for effective for delivery and learning
