Education and Career Guidance (ECG)
We believe that career education, an integral SST Character and Citizenship Education Programme, is important to build human capability in the 21st Century. The contribution of career education to build human capability involves the development of competencies that will enable meaning or direction in life; it is not merely a job but the life purpose played by an individual. SST students plan and manage their careers in a life-long process, as an extension of talent development.
The SST Education and Career Guidance (ECG) Programmes from Year 1 to 4 include:
- Assembly Talks by Entrepreneurs
- Assembly Talks by Junior Colleges and Polytechnics for Upper Secondary students
- Career counselling by our ECG counsellor
- Career Day @ SST (Comprising of a Career Fair, Talks and Forum)
- Education and Career Guidance Lessons conducted by Form Teacher

School-Parent Meeting (SPM)
From 2019, the school adopted a new approach where our students were the ones leading the Parent-Teacher Conference. As a school that aims to nurture independent learners and problem solvers, we value and seek to inculcate self-management skills, ownership and resilience in our students.
