The SST Wushu Team was set up in 2010 and every new member undergoes basic training before being taught to perform international competition routines such as Chang Quan, Dao, Jian and Gun.

Through Wushu, we aspire to incorporate in our students the values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect, and we are proud to say that over the past two years, we have been successfully inculcating these values in them.

In 2011, five Secondary Two students participated in the 7th National Inter-Schol Wushu Championships at Chung Cheng (Main) School. We would like to congratulate them for their effort and participation in this competition:

• Tan Kai Chyi Khim (S203’11) – 4-Duan Spear
• Tan Yi Liang Daniel (S206’11) & Ng Kai Chek (S201’11) – 4-Duan Cudgel
• Goh Chin Fan (S207’11) & Ho Yan Jin (S203’11) – 4-Duan Sword

We would also like to thank the teachers-in-charge for their constant guidance and support to the Wushu Team. Although the team is still very young, we are confident that given proper training, they will be able to hone their skills and showcase their talents at nation-wide competitions more frequently and more skillfully.
