SST admits its students through the DSA-Sec Exercise. As it does not participate in the MOE Secondary 1 Posting Exercise, students who wish to be considered for a place in SST are strongly encouraged to apply through the DSA-Sec Exercise. ***Applicants from national primary schools must be sitting for the PSLE (or equivalent) this year to apply.
DSA-Sec 2013 Application Period: 27 April 2013, 9.00 a.m. to 5 July 2013, 5.00 p.m.
IMPORTANT MATTERS TO NOTE:
Student applicants and parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to read through the ensuing information prior to submitting an online application.
1) DSA-Sec Online Application:
Applicants are to create a unique account and apply through the following link:

Information required for a Complete Application:
- Valid email address for account creation (will be used for ALL DSA correspondence from SST);
- Student Applicant’s personal particulars and contact information;
- Parent/Guardian’s personal particulars and contact information;
- Applicant’s academic records: Primary 4 & 5 overall results and Primary 6 SA1 (or equivalent);
- Records of CCA/Other achievements;
- DSA-Sec REGN number from MOE (for non-MOE school applicants only).
2) DSA Application Fee:
There will be NO application fee payable to SST.
3) Prescribed Tests & Respective Charges:
Applicants must sit for 2 prescribed tests after the online submission of their DSA application to SST:
i. General Reasoning Test (GAT) – S$50.00;
ii. Comprehension Reasoning Test (CRT) – S$45.00.
Fees for the GAT & CRT are payable to the Principals Academy Inc. (PAI) as they are the test administrators. They will waive these charges if candidates can produce documentary proof during payment of their being on FAS (Financial Assistance Scheme), from their current primary schools.

Applicants may register for the tests from Mid-May 2013 (Exact date to be announced by PAI) via the following link: GAT Registration Procedures. The last date to sit for the GAT for SST will be in early July 2013 (Exact date to be announced by PAI). As test seating is limited for each available session, DSA applicants are strongly advised to register early.
4) Supporting Documents Submission:
Photocopies of the following supporting documents must be prepared for a 1-time submission when applicants report for the prescribed tests at the allocated test center:
i. Current school academic records (Pri 4, 5 overall & Pri 6 SA1 results, or equivalent);
iii. Testimonials if any, etc.
iv. MOE DSA-Sec REGN number (for non-MOE school student applicants only).
**SST will only evaluate applicants who have submitted complete online applications; full supporting documents and have sat for the required tests.
5) Interim (Shortlisting) & Final Outcomes:
Only shortlisted candidates will be informed and invited to participate in the Selection Activity in Phase 2 of the application process to SST.
A Letter of Outcome will be issued (via post) to all applicants at the end of this Selection Phase of the DSA Exercise in end August.
***Successful applicants subsequently posted to SST through the DSA-Sec Exercise are expected to honour their commitments made and will be excluded from participating in the MOE Secondary 1 Posting Exercise. Students posted through the DSA-Sec Exercise are also not permitted to transfer to another school after the release of the PSLE results.
