Education Workshop Instructor

Job Description:

  • In charge of the maintenance of equipments, tools and safety in the ADMT Studio, the Maker Lab and related working areas
  • Maintain inventory of tools, materials and equipments within the department, including issuing, returning and monitoring of their usage
  • Assist in imparting maker-centric, modeling and prototyping practical skills to students and relevant stakeholders
  • Assist teachers in the supervision of students during lessons
  • Co-develop relevant teaching aids, materials and training manuals for lessons and for the conduct of professional development (PD) sessions
  • Work with teachers, vendors and suppliers to ensure timely acquisition of resources

Job Requirements:

  • NITEC or Diploma, or those with suitable experience, in any design or technical disciplines
  • At least 2 years working experience in a design-studio and design-related areas. Experience in any maker-centric fields is highly welcomed
  • Have working knowledge and experience in the areas of Computer Aided Design (CAD), 3D printing, Laser Cut technology and related rapid prototyping technologies. Candidates with some experience in this and are willing to be trained are also welcomed to apply
  • Have deep passion and are experienced in teaching students about design and related disciplines
  • Able to take initiative, and work closely with others to achieve desired outcome
  • Able to independently produce reports, manuals and training programmes
  • Is an independent and meticulous worker

Laboratory Executive, Media (till July 2017)

The successful candidate will provide support to students as they prepare for the Media Studies examination in June.

Job Description:

  • Set up Media Studios & Video Production Studio for lessons
  • Render filming and editing technical support to students, teachers and lecturers during curriculum time
  • Provide Mac helpdesk support to students, teachers and lecturers during school time
  • Responsible for the maintenance, storage and loan movement of equipment
  • Carry out duties stipulated in the GCE ‘O’ Level Media Studies Filming and Editing Examination

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in Media-related disciplines
  • Min. of 2 years experience in media and equipment support role
  • Competent in using multi-media and handling of PA/AV equipment
  • Able to coach students in the use of PA/AV equipment
  • Meticulous and attentive to details, has problem solving and decision making skills
  • Works well with others and takes initiative
  • Must be able to commit till end July 2017
