The SST Badminton Team was set up in 2010 and over the past two years, the students have participated in numerous competitions, through which they have been able to hone their skills and learn the importance of teamwork and cooperation.

Vision:

As a young team, we hope that all members are committed to improving their skills and dedicated to building a close-knit badminton family. We hope to provide professional training to the students and give them exposure through a variety of activities in and out of school.

During the June holidays, the SST badminton team was involved in a series of friendly matches with Bowen Secondary School, in which they exchanged valuable experiences with their Bowen counterparts.

In 2010, the team also had the opportunity to witness the Badminton Finals at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games, which was an eye-opener for them as they were able to observe the skills, techniques and determination of the professional players.

The first competition that the team participated in was the Pilot Pen Age Group Doubles 2010 under-15 tournament, and subsequently, the West Zone Inter-School Badminton Championship 2011. The students performed incredibly well and we would like to congratulate them for their participation and hard work:
