IDE Robotics Competition 2012

On 16 March 2012, our Robotics Club participated in the Innovation, Design and Engineering (IDE) Robotics Competition and clinched several awards for their novel and inventive creations:

  1. Best Programming Technique Award (Silver)

  2. Best Competition Score Award (Silver)

  3. Judges’ Special Mention Award

Award Winners for No. 1 & 2

It was a tough fight as the mission for the IDE Robotics 2012 was only announced on the morning of the competition day. The students had to overcome the challenge of having only four hours to prepare, build, and program their robots for the competition. Their mission consisted of several scoring elements and tasks that were wrapped around a central theme.

Using the LEGO® NXT robotics platform together with their imagination and creativity, our students performed incredibly well in being able to devise the most feasible strategies within a short time frame.

We would like to congratulate all who participated as we continue to anticipate more of your works in the year ahead!
