Singapore Mathematical Olympiad Competition 2010

During the June holidays, 34 students took part in the Singapore Mathematical Olympiads (SMO) Competition under the Junior section. The students achieved a total of 1 Silver, 3 Bronze and 3 Honorable Mention awards.

Amazing Science X-Challenge 2010

12 of our students (4 teams) have participated in this year’s Amazing Science X-Challenge 2010, which requires them to create a stand-alone, self-explanatory exhibit that demonstrates a particular scientific concept or phenomenon unique to the physical sciences. One of our teams has emerged as the winners for the Special Mention Prizes of $150 and a medal. Congratulations!

Singapore HeritageFest 2010

Arte(factually) Speaking Story-writing Competition

The storywriting competition was held as part of the Singapore HeritageFest 2010. Participants had to visit the museum the earlier part of Semester 1 to view the artefacts put up and to incorporate at least one of them into the story they wrote. 2 of our students, Arthur Lee and Millie Thng, (both from S104) achieved Merit Awards for their age category. Project U & I Exhibition

The NE Committee is pleased to share with you a showcase of the Panama dolls. This is part of the Racial Harmony commemoration, as well as the Singapore HeritageFest 2010.
